Who can use the Retirement Benefits CalculatorYou can use the calculator retirement benefits if:
Have enough Social Security credits at this time to qualify for benefits and
You will not:
Receive benefits on your own Social Security record currently;
It is waiting for a decision on your application for benefits or Medicare;
It is over 62 years old and receives benefits in the Social Security record of another person, or
Entitled to a pension based on work not covered by Social Security.
If
you are currently receiving Medicare benefits only, you can still get
an estimate and "Retirement Information for Medicare beneficiaries."If
you can use the retirement benefits calculator or want an estimate of
survivor benefits or disability, please use one of our other benefits
calculators.
